b.)  PG
c.)   12
d.)  12A
e.)  15
f.)    18

Tally chart results
We asked 10 sixth formers what they thought and the results showed…

 U :    0
PG:   |
12:    ||||
12A: |
15:    ||||
18:    0

The results showed that most students thought that between the ages of 12 ands 15 was the appropriate age for murder mysteries. When we asked a couple of students why they thought this, they answered that they thought at the age of 12-15 you are old enough to understand the storylines, and also to witness moderate violence and gore.

Initial ideas for characters

These are ideas of suspects that we may use in the film. Each character will play a small part. Each character may change throughout the progress of our opening film. At the moment these are the characters we will use to start our opening scene. The suspects will be used throughout the rest of the film however we will only use them for this task in the first 2 minutes. We only need around five suspects and these will be seen to close the opening scene. The reason for choosing this group was purely based on the look we are trying to achieve for the suspect. The suspects need to look sinister and the audience needs to feel suspicious and hopefully uncomfortable by there presence. When we decide on whom we shall use they will play this part.

Ideas for locations

We have been researching ideal locations for our film opening, we have looked around several places such as buildings in town or bathrooms in our houses for the opening scene, we feel that these locations create the right atmosphere for our film. There are some useful places around the school that fits in with our ideas. For example the school corridors are long and have the effect of a hotel corridor, which is the kind of location we are looking for. Also we found a ict classroom and studies in our houses that may be suitable for our office scene.  These locations are not definate, just ideas for our research into locations.
